General Questions
Does microneedling hurt?
At Opulent Studios we apply numbing cream prior to microneedling to ensure that the guest is comfortable throughout the procedure. The procedure will take around 20-30 minutes. Patients typically experience redness, skin sensitivity and mild swelling for the first 24-48 hours following this procedure.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a treatment that rejuvenates the skin. This is accomplished by speeding up cellular turnover and increasing collagen production. The treatment is done by using a small probe with micro needles.
Why get a facial?
Facials at Opulent Studios provide a deep cleansing, exfoliation (removal of dead skin cells) and treatment masques and serums to repair, treat and maintain skin health. Our practitioners will customize your facial to focus on your skincare concerns and goals.
What is The Hydrafacial service?
The Hydrafacial is a patented, medical-grade skin resurfacing treatment. This treatment will exfoliate, provide a deep cleanse, hydrate, clear out pores and nourish your skin. This is a pain-free treatment, that requires no downtime.
What is skin brightening?
This vegan, non-GMO treatment addresses hyperpigmentation (dark spots) in various areas, including underarms, knees, elbows, face and even intimate areas. Provides up to 3 shades of lightening per treatment. (Cost varies depending on treatment area(s).
Will I break out after a facial service?
Facial treatments will stimulate skin rejuvenation, which can cause the skin to purge toxins. Our practitioners will deeply cleanse your skin to minimize the spread of bacteria. Although not typical, on occasion, pimples may appear for a few days due to open pores. Aftercare instructions will be provided following any facial treatment to ensure the health of your skin.
Are chemical peels safe?
A skin safe acid is used in a chemical peel procedure. The purpose of a chemical peel is to remove the top layers of the skin (epidermis) to allow the layer to grow back healthier, smoother and even. Your practitioner will choose a chemical peel that is determined to be safe and appropriate for your skin type following a thorough skin assessment.
Should I see a dermatologist or a nurse esthetician for my skin tag removal?
Our practitioners who perform skin tag and other imperfection removal are licensed Registered Nurses who have been thoroughly trained in this procedure. This procedure is a common service at Opulent Studios and is typically hundreds of dollars less than the pricing at a dermatology clinic.
